(To Moderator -Sorry, I put the link in but forgot to delete the photos last time!) Hi all, I am located in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have a Tesla coil that I built about 12 years ago. It worked very well and made streamers more than a meter long. Since then I  have had a stroke and no longer able to play around with it, and have moved on.  Last time I used it (a couple of years ago,)  one of the 4 Microwave Oven Transformers "(MOT)" died. I would like to pass it on to a good home and am willing to sell it in an as-is state as it has been taking up garage space. It would be a great start for someone wanting a to get a coil up and going quickly. All it needs is another MOT fitted. These are easily removed from old Microwave ovens (but ask your mother first!) It is very well made, semi modular, can be taken apart for transport and has a lovely capacitor bank made of 4 strings of 12 caps, each cap is 0.15uF, 2000 volt caps configured in series/parallel with bleeder resistors for safety. gives us a total cap of 0.05 uF. at 24,000v. Hello Andrew, Just read your email in regards to your Tesla coil. I'm in Papakura Auckland and I'm just starting the journey, albeit a couple of years now and collecting parts and building up components etc to make Tesla coil and as it would happen, I have spare MOT doing nothing, that said though, I'll have to see what the output is again . What ask are you asking for the coil and secondly would it be transposable ?? I look forward to hearing from you in due course. Hi Andrew, I have been playing around with a coil for a couple years and continue to build up parts and learn about things I never thought to consider. I have two NST's but later found that the one coil I made is too large for the kind of current they have so all I get is a halo of leaking energy and some racing sparks. I wound another but that was a lesson on aspect ratio, so now I have made a third with all that in mind and have been tinkering with using MOTs as the power source. I'm just getting started but have five MOTs to use and paired them with each other in parallel series and the output for just two is impressive and through the 4 stage multiplier I made it is loud! Now I'm looking for diodes that can handle it for more than ten seconds... an example from someone else's MOT power source would be fantastic! So I'm tossing my hat into the ring also as another interested party. Thanks!
